Coatings

Improved stability means coatings last up to two times longer and are easier to apply, requiring less preparation and sanding. To maintain the natural beauty of Accoya®, whilst providing protection against the harsh Australian weather conditions, we recommend you apply WOCA’s professional range of water based exterior oils or Intergrain’s Natural Stain high performance water based exterior oils. Accoya® wood takes beautifully to either opaque coatings or if you prefer the natural beauty of timber a transparent coating. Accoya wood can also be left to grey off naturally – its low maintenance requirements adding to its cost effectiveness and environmental credentials. In addition to coatings, M&B also offers a scorched/charred (centuries old Japanese technique of Shou-Sugi-Ban or Yakisugi) option for use in residential cladding and lining projects, which can further increase the lifespan of the timber to 80 years!

Accoya® wood is suitable for cladding, siding and façades where aesthetics, less frequent maintenance, dimensional stability and durability are key factors. Accoya® gives a wide range of coatings choices for unprecedented choice without compromising performance. Our standard Shiplap Profile is available in a 145mm x 21mm board in the following lengths: 2.4/3.0/3.6/4.2/4.8m.
